For weeks Ella planned to dress up as Nancy Drew - she planned her outfit, equipped with magnifying glass, leather satchel, "the" letter giving clues (most important apparently lol)cardigan, headband, sensible skirt long sox and sensible shoes (actually Nancy Drew wore "penny loafers" Mama - I convinced her that I could not find a pair of penny loafers in Australia, so her school shoes sufficed!
